Terelj National Park was formed in 1995 with covering over 293,000 hectares. The park holds great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, swimming in Tuul River, and horse and camel riding. Visitors often go on hiking although you can stay in one of the comfortable Mongolian felt gers of a tourist camp just to relax. Green, rolling hills amid gorgeous peaks are great places to explore. The fresh air and gentle wind make your mood happy and cheerful and you conquer hill after hill for hours.
In winter, the snow covered white hills and the valley rest in silence whereas the black, rocky peaks raise gorgeously against the clear blue sky under sharp sunshine. Terelj National Park is one of the best destinations which Mongolia can offer you, especially if you are on a tight travel schedule.
