Place of event: State Oprea & Ballet Theatre, Ulaanbaatar City

The Die Flederaus (The Bat) operetta was written by Johann Strauss and premiered on 5 April 1874 at the Theater An der Wien in Vienna, Austria. It was performed in New York at the Stadt Theatre on 21 November 1874, and then in London at the Alhambra Theatre on 18 December 1876.
This is the younger Strauss's most celebrated and popular operetta - intoxicatingly melodious and exuberant. Mistaken identities, flirtations at a masked ball, elegant frivolities and confusions of all kinds provide a hilarious vehicle for some of the most captivating music ever written. A blissful show - especially rewarding for societies with high singing standards.
