"Giselle" ballet

Place: State Opera & Ballet Theatre, Ulaanbaatar City

Giselle is a ballet by Adolphe Adam. It has two acts and two scenes, with a libretto by Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges and Theophile Gautier and was originally choreographed by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot (the principal Ballerina's dances).

"The Lost Faith" opera

"Coppelia" ballet

Place: State Opera & Ballet Theatre, Ulaanbaatar City

Coppelia is a sentimental comic ballet with original choreography by Arthur Saint-Leon to a ballet libretto by Saint-Léon and Charles Nuittier and music by Leo Delibes. It was based upon a macabre story by E.T.A. Hoffmann entitled "Der Sandmann" ("The Sandman"), published in 1815. The ballet premiered May 25, 1870 at the Théâtre Impérial de l´Opera, with Giuseppina Bozzachi in the principal role of Swanilda. Its first flush of success was interrupted by the Franco-Prussian War and the siege of Paris, but eventually it became the most-performed ballet at the Opera Garnier.

Swan Lake is a ballet, first presented in four acts, by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. It has been successfully performed in Ulaanbaatar every year and gained high reputation among audiences.

The Barber of Seville, or The Useless Precaution is an opera buffa in two acts by Gioachino Rossini with a libretto (based on Beaumarchais's comedy Le Barbier de Séville) by Cesare Sterbini.

"Die Fledermaus" opera

The original source for Die Fledermaus is a farce by German playwright Julius Roderich Benedix (1811-1873), Das Gefängnis (The Prison). Another source is a French vaudeville play, Le Réveillon, by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halevy.
